Bucharest, July 25, 2011 \u2013The financial performancesrecorded last year byEximBank have been rewarded by the financial and banking market through the Prize for the best return on assets (ROA) and for the most effective employees within the Top Bankers\u2019 Gala organized by the magazine \u201ePia\u0163a Financiar\u0103\u201d.<\/p>\n
During the awarding gala, EximBank\u2019s officials pointed out that the bank made extensive progress related to more energetic activities, with still considerable development potential to be capitalized. Moreover, bank\u2019s officials also stated out that such results, duly rewarded, couldn\u2019t have materialized without the contribution of the whole team.<\/p>\n
The Bank boasts for the last year a net profit of about Lei 75 million, considering the banking system year-end in 2010 underscoring a net loss of Lei 516 million, for the first time since1999. Specifically, 20 banks showcased profit, unlike 22 credit agencies which reported negative results with such propensity still in the first half-year of 2011, while the profitable banks went slightly up (22 in gain against 20 in a loss). For the first half-year, EximBank has recorded Lei 45 million in profit, accounting for almost 80% in excess of the amount in 2010, same period.<\/p>\n
