Bucharest, November 27, 2013 – Traian Halalai, President of EximBank, has been awarded the prize \u201dBanker of the year\u201d during the \u201cFinancial Leaders\u2019 Hall of Fame 2013\u201d Gala organized by Business Arena Magazine, recognizing the top professionals in financial sector that have significantly improved their organizations\u2019 performances. <\/p>\n
\u201cReceiving the prize is honoring for me but it also belongs to the whole EximBank team. They have all been involved and we could not have registered major progress in terms of improving our business routines and maybe achieve the most important corporate financing rhythm on the banking sector without them. This is why I would like to thank my team and to express on their behalf the invitation addressed to the whole business community to consider EximBank as an important resource to be taken into account when thinking about its development\u201d, declared Traian Halalai during the Gala.<\/p>\n
The bank\u2019s representative mentioned that during last year, EximBank has been working on optimizing the working flows and on changes of the functioning of the internal organization, put in place a new model for the territorial network, opened new agencies, implemented a new structure for national sales coordination and has in view an ambitious sales plan for 2014. Halalai stated once again that present circumstances are favorable for the bank\u2019s business development and emphasized the fact that EximBank has all the necessary resources to secure a solid position on the corporate financing market. <\/p>\n
After the first nine months of this year, the total volume of the financing granted by EximBank increased with 40% as compared to the level registered at the end of December 2012, amounting at more than 1.5 Bln Lei. At the same time, the total exposure of the bank amounts at 4.4 Bln lei, a value three times higher than in 2009.<\/p>\n
