{"id":2650,"date":"2019-06-12T13:34:06","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T10:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/?p=2650"},"modified":"2019-06-12T13:34:06","modified_gmt":"2019-06-12T10:34:06","slug":"eximbank-is-closing-the-sixth-consecutive-year-with-record-profits-and-significant-presence-in-top-banks-by-assets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/2019\/06\/12\/eximbank-is-closing-the-sixth-consecutive-year-with-record-profits-and-significant-presence-in-top-banks-by-assets\/","title":{"rendered":"EximBank is closing the sixth consecutive year with record profits and significant presence in top banks by assets"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Bucharest, June 12, 2019 <\/strong>\u2013 EximBank has\ncontinued its ambitious development strategy &nbsp;for the last six years and reports for 2018 a\nconsistent increase of its exposures, high quality assets, increase of the\nmarket share on corporate financing sector and record profits. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of\n2018, the bank had total exposures amounting at 8.0 billion Lei, 30% higher\nthan at the end of 2017, with profits of 113.5 million Lei, the best financial\nresults in the last nine years. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dThe results\nunderline the bank\u2019s efforts to make the best of its resources and capacities\nas well as the total control of risks and operational costs against the\ncompetitive market restraints. We have increased the financing by 27% last year\nas compared to 2017, having a credit portfolio of 4.6 billion Lei, which\nsupported the consolidation of our positioning on the corporate financing\nmarket by gaining market share.&nbsp; Assets\nincrease placed us on the 12 position in the bank\u2019s top on local market, the\nhighest ranking of EximBank up until now. In terms of the significant variance\nof profits as compared to last year this was highly related to higher quality\nassets and the increase of the recovery rate for non-performant receivables as\nwell to the good management of the complementary products portfolio \u2013 treasury\nand cash management \u2013 that increased their intake in bank\u2019s profits\u201d, said\nTraian Halalai, Executive President of &nbsp;EximBank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"308\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/cover-690x308.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2651\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/cover-690x308.png 690w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/cover-300x134.png 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/cover-768x343.png 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/cover.png 1292w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The bank\u2019s representative mentioned that\nthe efforts made to convince the business environment in terms of the bank\u2019s\nability to offer complex attractive financial solutions for all types of companies\nhave bloomed in 2018 by doubling the number of clients and tripling up the\ndisbursed credit balance (from 1 billion Lei to more than 3.4&nbsp; billion Lei) as compared to 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dOur portfolio includes new partners in\nvarious domains, EximBank concluding contracts with companies from the Romanian\nbusiness elite as well as with small and medium companies.
