{"id":2654,"date":"2019-06-18T14:58:29","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T11:58:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/?p=2654"},"modified":"2019-06-18T14:58:29","modified_gmt":"2019-06-18T11:58:29","slug":"eximbank-participates-in-creating-a-platform-to-support-the-development-in-balkan-and-central-europe-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/2019\/06\/18\/eximbank-participates-in-creating-a-platform-to-support-the-development-in-balkan-and-central-europe-region\/","title":{"rendered":"EximBank participates in creating a platform to support the development in Balkan and Central Europe region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bucharest, June 18, 2019<\/strong>\n\u2013 The Export\u2013Import Bank of Romania &#8211; EximBank will participate to creating an\non-line platform that will allow presenting large-scale investments projects in\nthe Balkan and Central Europe region as well as identifying the respective\nfinancing sources, under the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project was launched during the\nInternational Economic Forum Paths for Partnerships that took place June 17-18,\n2019 in Bulgaria, when EximBank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with\nthe Bulgarian Development Bank. The platform offers to the countries in the\nregion the opportunity to present initiatives in various &nbsp;economic domains as well as the\nrespective&nbsp; co-financing resources&nbsp; and also to foster the inter-institutional\ndialogue and to share the success experiences and best practices in terms of\nfinancing strategic projects in infrastructure, economic development and trade.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Memorandum of Understanding has\nbeen signed by national promotional and development institutions from Croatia,\nHungary, Macedonia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia and is\nfocused on implementing infrastructure projects by mobilizing financing from\ndifferent sources, without the accumulation of debt by individual governments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">International Economic Forum\n&#8220;Paths for Partnerships &nbsp;has a&nbsp; main focus on InvestEU program, which is a\ncontinuation of the Juncker Plan aiming at putting together all the financial\ninstruments available in the European Union so that financing projects in this\narea should become simpler, more efficient and flexible. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EximBank\u2019s involvement in the\ninitiative comes on the background of its constant concern for dialogue with\nthe similar entities for both refining and modernizing its portfolio in order\nto be able to structure and finance large scale \/ complex projects and to\ncreate favorable business contexts and level playground field for the Romanian\nexporters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recently, the Three Seas Initiative\nInvestment Fund has been launched, focusing on supporting projects in\ntransportation, energy, digital infrastructure in the Three Seas region, an\ninvestment vehicle created by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego from Poland and The Export\u2013Import\nBank of Romania &#8211; EximBank that signed the Articles of Association at the end\nof May 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EximBank is actively involved for\nmore than 25 years in supporting and promoting the Romanian business\nenvironment by endorsing local companies\u2019 projects.
