(BROM). The offer, made in\nJune in accordance with the applicable law in Romania, was part of EximBank\u2019s\nagreement with National Bank of Greece (NBG) to acquire its 99.28% stake in\nBROM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the acquisition, EximBank enters\ninto the attractive Romanian retail banking segment, transforming itself into a\nfully universal banking entity and continuing to fulfil its long-term mission\nto support and promote Romania\u2019s economic development. The combined bank will\nfeature among the top 10 banks in Romania with the market share of\napproximately 3%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Exim-Bank-142-690x580.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2701\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Exim-Bank-142-690x580.jpg 690w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Exim-Bank-142-300x252.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Exim-Bank-142-768x645.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>EximBank CEO Traian Halalai said:\n&#8220;The acquisition of Banca Rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 places EximBank in a better position\nto serve Romanian citizens and to play a more active role in the development of\nthe Romanian economy. Morgan Securities plc acted as\nsole financial advisor to EximBank in relation to this transaction.
