The funds are\nintended to provide the necessary liquidity for the current activity of the Company\nand were granted with a state guarantee issued under the state aid scheme\nCOVID-19, dedicated to large companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"479\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ALRO-690x479.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2914\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ALRO-690x479.jpg 690w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ALRO-300x208.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ALRO-768x533.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ALRO.jpg 1485w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEximBank\nalways proposes concrete and efficient solutions to support the development of\nRomanian companies and we are glad that, through this financing, we provide to\none of the most important companies in Romania and in Europe, the necessary\nfunds for carrying out its current activities in optimal conditions. We are\nconfident that through the tools offered by EximBank, including this state aid\nscheme, we can contribute significantly to the steps taken to accelerate the\ngrowth trend of the Romanian economy, and in this regard we will continue to be\nan active supporter of the local business environment\u201d , said Traian Halalai,\nExecutive Chairman of EximBank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unpredictable economic environment created by the\nconsequences of the pandemic &#8211; which severely affected two of the key market\nsegments for ALRO, namely the automotive and aircraft industries, as well as\nlow alumina prices were the main challenges that the Romanian aluminium\nproducer sought to overcome by implementing several measures to reduce costs\nand improve purchasing and sales strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eALRO\u2019s\nresilience is also obtained by capitalizing on the opportunities generated by\ncrises, as is the case of the health crisis; and in such times we have remained\nfaithful to our strategy and we have focused on investments in innovation and in\nthe latest production technologies and we have continued to pursue partnerships\nwith organizations that support responsible and sustainable business\ndevelopment&#8221;, said Gheorghe Dobra, Chief Executive Officer ALRO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We\nwelcome the implementation of&nbsp; the temporary framework for state aid\nmeasures to support the Romanian economy in the current COVID-19 outbreak.
