Exim Banca Romaneasca has supported the European expansion of TeraPlast Group, the largest polymer processor in Southeast Europe, by financing the company\u2019s acquisitions of production facilities in Hungary and Spain.<\/p>\n

The total financing provided by the bank amounts to \u20ac14.7 million and coveres, among other things, the acquisition of Wavin Hungary\u2019s PVC and polyethylene pipe production assets (completed in 2025), as well as the acquisition of a polyethylene pipe manufacturing plant in Spain, previously part of the MASA division of the Aliaxis Group, a transaction finalized earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Through this financing agreement, Exim Banca Romaneasca contributes to strengthening the international presence of one of Romania\u2019s most important industrial groups with majority Romanian ownership.<\/p>\n

Spain becomes the fifth foreign market in which TeraPlast Group operates, following its expansion into Moldova, Hungary, Austria, and Croatia.<\/p>\n

The production facility, located in Okondo in northern Spain and inaugurated at the end of last week, has an annual production capacity of 16,000 tonnes. The plant serves a solid customer base in Spain, France, and Germany, and generated \u20ac29.4 million in revenue in 2025.<\/p>\n

The Spanish plastic pipes market is the seventh largest in Europe, offering significant growth potential. Through this transaction, TeraPlast strengthens its position as a major regional player and takes a significant step toward becoming a European supplier with an extensive international presence.<\/p>\n
