{"id":7712,"date":"2020-04-10T14:18:56","date_gmt":"2020-04-10T11:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/?p=2803"},"modified":"2020-04-10T14:18:56","modified_gmt":"2020-04-10T11:18:56","slug":"eximbank-is-launching-a-new-insurance-product-for-exporters-in-the-context-of-covid-19-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/2020\/04\/10\/eximbank-is-launching-a-new-insurance-product-for-exporters-in-the-context-of-covid-19-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"EximBank is launching a new insurance product for exporters in the context of COVID-19 pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Bucharest, April 10, 2020<\/strong> &#8211; EximBank\ncomes to support the Romanian exporters during the COVID-19 pandemic and\nlaunches a new short term insurance product in the name and the account of the\nRomanian state&nbsp; that allows business\ncontinuity and maintenance of workplaces by covering the commercial and\npolitical risks related to transactions with partners from European Union and\nOECD countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dThe new facility is available for all exporters\u2013\nsmall, medium and large companies \u2013 that will be covered for 85% of the losses\nincurred due to commercial and political risks under transactions with\ncommercial partners from European Union and OECD countries. It is an additional\nsupport instrument that EximBank implements in the new local and global\neconomic conditions, aiming at offering high protection for Romanian\nexporters&nbsp;&nbsp; involve din international\ntransactions\u201d, said Traian Halalai, Executive President of EximBank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eximbank.ro\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-690x338.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2809\" width=\"650\" height=\"318\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-690x338.jpg 690w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-300x147.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-768x376.jpg 768w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-1536x751.jpg 1536w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/asiguram-1-2048x1002.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new insurance scheme valid until December 31st\n2020, EximBank can cover risks on short term for the small, medium and large companies,\nfor any export volumes, number of foreign business partners for a total risk\nperiod (including production and reimbursement terms) up to two years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to access the facility, the exporters have to\nprove favorable commercial relationships or payment record (when the commercial\nrelations already exist) and the buyers have a clean indemnification record, a\nreasonable likelihood of non-payment and an acceptable internal or external\nfinancial rating. The waiting period \u2013 the term between the risk occurrence and\nthe date of indemnification request \u2013 is 90 days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a state aid facility, the scheme should have been\npre-approved by the European Commission but due to the European efforts to\nmitigate the negative economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic, the European\nauthority decided to consider all commercial and political risks associated\nwith exports in the European Union and OECD countries as being off cover for\nthe private market up to December 31st 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exporters may benefit from the facility\nimmediately and do not have to present the proofs that private insurers of\nexport credits have refused underwriting the risks associated with the adjacent\noperation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Romanian <em>Export Credit Agency<\/em> (ECA) EximBank\nhas developed insurance products offered in the name and on the account of the\nstate that protect the exporters\u2019 cash-ins from the risks associated to the\nforeign commercial partners and the export target countries and facilitate\naccess to financing products because they can be assigned to financing banks in\ncompletion of the guarantees mix.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bucharest, April 10, 2020 &#8211; EximBank comes to support the Romanian exporters during the COVID-19 pandemic and launches a new short term insurance product in the name and the account of the Romanian state&nbsp; that allows business continuity and maintenance of workplaces by covering the commercial and political risks related to transactions with partners from [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[41,43],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7712","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","category-press-release"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
