EximBank is financing Romelectro

Bucharest, December 10, 2014 – EximBank has granted to Romelectro SA, one of the top contractors in power engineering a multi product financing level amounting at 54 Million Lei, to be used for executing a contract concluded with Transelectrica.

The facility offered by the bank includes a financing component – covering the temporary need for cash and a guarantee component – letters of banking guarantee for good execution and advance payments reimbursement that Romelectro needed for implementing the project of remaking the technological profile of an electric transformer station belonging to Transelectrica.

As a reward for EximBank’s efforts in supporting extended projects in economic priority domains, as the energy, the bank has been recognized as the Financial Institution of the Year for Energy Projects during the Romanian Energy Awards 2014 Gala, organized by The Diplomat, under the patronage of Ministry of Economy, Energy Department.

Romelectro has won the the bid organized by Transelectrica for the project of remaking the technological profile of the electric transformer station400/220/110/20 kV Bradu, one of the important points in the Electro energetic National System ensuring the connections and power transit between the electrical excedentary areas (Muntenia and Oltenia) and the deficiently areas in Transylvania. The four years contract value amounts at more than 29 Million Euro.
