Traian Halalai, EximBank: We are prepared to meet the business environment demands

Bucharest, January 28, 2013 – EximBank is prepared to meet the business environment demands, taking also into account the strategic directions set by the Government that will certainly identify the business priorities to support the economic growth targets set for this year, declared Traian Halalai, President of EximBank during a meeting with the Council for Excellence of the National Council for Small and Medium Enterprises.

”At this time we can say that the main business lines for EximBank are the import/export operations and the investment process. We are fully committed to supporting the Romanian exporters but the product portfolio allows us to sustain also the investment projects.” stated the EximBank representative.

During the meeting, the President of EximBank mentioned several aspects related to the Bank’s strategy that has as main directions keeping a competitive costs level for its products and services, along with expanding its offer and developing the sales channels, including the network expansion.

”We are aware that the business environment expects a cost reduction for our products and services which is hard to get as of now. What I can say is that we intend to keep our products and services costs at the lower level of the banking market ranges. It is an effort we can engage and we hope it will prove to be beneficial for all parties involved”, also said Traian Halalai.

He added that another topic on the Bank’s management agenda is to start expanding the territorial network. “We will soon decide upon locations and after that will start opening rapidly. We are hoping to increase the accessibility level for companies to our products and services. Also, we have in view to facilitate the contact with the business environment by developing the selling channels on line. We are already working to an on line platform that will enhance the communication process with prospective clients by offering preliminary eligibility conditions checking as well as on line sending of the necessary documents.”, addedTraian Halalai.
