Authentication of online payments

Choose biometric authentication – download EximPay application from Google Play or App Store for a simple and fast experience of online shopping, in maximum safety conditions.

When you initiate the payment online by EximPay, the phone screen shows a push type notification and by accessing it, a biometrical authorization page is opened.

The biometric confirmation of the transaction is done by touching the finger print sensor or by other biometrical authentication method available on the phone (facial, iris or voice recognition).

In the EximPay biometric application you can view both the online transactions made and information about each transaction, for all the cards you own.

By simply touching the card, you can check the e-commerce transactions authorized biometrically on that card.

IMPORTANT:

  • To biometrically authenticate a transaction, the merchant where you conduct the transaction or the merchant’s transactions processor has to be enrolled in 3DSecure security protocol. In case it is not enrolled, the client does not receive the push-=type notification and the transaction is conducted by normal flow, unsecured.
  • The bank does not store the client’s biometrical data, which is still remaining on each user’s telephone.

Transactions authentication using Static Password (personal password) and Dynamic Password 3D Secure, sent by the bank by SMS to your mobile phone number saved in the Bank’s system.

In order to conduct online transactions using this authentication method, you have to take the following steps:

  • Insert the initial Static Password made of the last 6 figures of your Personal Numeric Number (PIN). After inserting it you have to change the password by a new one, exclusively made of 6 figures. The set up password will be used as a first authentication step for any online transaction performed by card.
  • In the next step, you insert the Dynamic Password 3D Secure received by SMS.

Important:

The Static Password can be used for all the future transactions performed by your cards.

In case you forget the Static Password or you want to replace it, you can reset it or change it any time you wish, by pushing the button “Reset your Password“. You will get a SMS with a unique code to reset the password which you will insert in the 3D Secure page and then you can set up a new password.

The initial password has to be changed on the first transaction. You cannot make payments online only with the initial password.

The Dynamic Password 3D Secure received by SMS is valid for 3 minutes.

After 3 wrong attempts in which the Static Password is not correctly inserted, you automatically return to the initial page to place the order and resume the steps for transaction authentication.
