Traian Halalai, award for contribution to the development of Romanian banking sector
The Executive President of Exim Banca Romaneasca, Traian Halalai, was awarded for his contribution to the development of Romanian banking sector at the BankingNews Gala, organized on the occasion of the publication’s 18th anniversary on the financial-banking media market.
Traian Halalai has been leading Exim Banca Romaneasca for over 10 years, time during which the bank has rapidly performed and became one of the most valuable Romanian companies, entered the Top 10 largest banks by assets in Romania, from the 21st position in 2012, and became a systemically important credit institution.
From January 2023, Exim Banca Romaneasca became a universal bank after the merger of EximBank with Banca Romaneasca, a project that marked the entry on the retail banking of a new player, strong and ready to contribute to the diversification of banking offers and, at the same time, to increasing the share of Romanian capital in the banking industry.
